Copy Cupcakes! It was just one of those days with two visits from the cupcake fairy. No biggie. Kimberley made these bad boys for Copy Department treat day. Fresh and tasty!
Free Cupcakes! Tons of them too. Very photogenic, kinda mediocre otherwise.
Best Intern Ever! The copy departments intern brought in this amazing homemade raspberry cheesecake. It tasted as amazing as it looks. Future interns take notes.
Our new Food Editor gets 5 stars for his sharing skills and bonus points for liking this blog. (Or at least pretending that he likes it.) Today he brought over some tasters sent to him from Tori’s Bakeshop. Vegan and refined sugar free does not stop the eating machines around here, in fact, we WANT to like that stuff. And you know what? We did. Leslie ate most of the “cheddar” broccoli scone and was not ashamed of her lack of sharing skills. Arguably the best scone of life, and hands down best in the vegan category. The butter tart (not shown, also due to shameless face-stuffing) tasted like a real butter tart. Too bad Tori’s Bakeshop is one million miles away from the office. Sad.
Special K Cracker Chips.
Not sure what makes them “Special K”, but anyhow, they were pretty tasty and low fat! There are lots of weird ingredients in them, but it’s ok, they delivered tasty flavour and a light texture.
Along with snacks, we like DEALS. $1 sale snacks at the grocery store? Boom! Indian food rules. Double boom! The Masala Chana is the best. Chick peas are still good for you if they are deep fried, I would not lie to you. The Behl Puri was a surprise. Mixing sauces and serving it up like spicy cereal was not what we expected/we didn’t have the extras to make it proper-like, but it was still a flavour explosion.
Dessert Bites. Kinda weird and pretty ok. They sort of taste like fancy chocolate and yogurt covered raisins, oddly. But I am ok with that, I like chocolate and yogurt covered raisins.
Shanna decided to bake us a key lime pie! No complaints here, so tasty!
Like eating a caramel apple, with a slice of cheddar cheese? Jenn H said it was a carnival in her mouth. Either way, a surprise snack on a Thursday morning is A-Ok with us.
It was Aimee’s birthday yesterday and it was 24 degrees out in March = DOUBLE CELEBRATION! Sparkling wine and store bought cookies = 4pm hangover and sugar crash at our desks. Ugh.
